For a total of 4GB on my Unibody Macbook Pro 15″ (upgraded from 2GB). It’s now blazing fast, compared to looking at the spin wheel every few minutes, especially when Time Machine is making backups. Buy two packs of these as it’s cheaper than buying the 4GB in a pack!

My early-2009 Mac Mini came with a paltry 1GB of RAM from the factory. Though adequate for running two or three small apps simultaneously, but everything bogs down when I hit sites that are heavily Flash-based. At times, the “beach ball” would spin for minutes before the next action is executed. Very frustrating. Theoretically, I only needed 2GB of RAM for what I’m using the Mini for (a media center in my leaving room), but having a total of 3GB (1GB OEM + Crucial 2GB module) really made everything faster. Opening up the Mini isn’t too difficult, just follow the detail instruction on . Initially I contemplated swapping out the factory’s 1GB with two 2GB modules–for a total of 4GB, but I’m glad I went with just adding one 2GB module to the existing 1GB of RAM as I really don’t need more than 3GB. Plus I saved $50 in doing so.

P.S. I have three core apps that I run on my Mac Mini: eyeTV, Vienna, iTunes; they need to be open at all times because they have subscriptions that set to update every hour. If you run RAM hungry apps most of the time, then I recommend going 4GB or even 8GB.

This RAM is truly a great buy. It really made my Mac run a lot faster, especially with graphic intensive applications. Anyone that needs a speed boost in their Mac should definitely buy this. I am really pleased with my purchase. Plus the seller shipped them REALLY FAST.

Ordered this ram from Amazon and got it in the mail less than a week later. I threw this in my 13in macbook. Install was quick and simple. I booted up my Mac right then and it recognized the additional ram. Couldn’t have been easier. Decently priced also.

It’s laptop RAM, it works at the specified speed, hasn’t died after a month of use. Can’t say I’ve got much to complain about here. Great addition to your netbook or laptop.
