I bought it and returned it a week later after trying to confirm that it was the camera and not me. It has features that make it SEEM appealing but… the touch screen is all so easily inadvertently touched and BOINK you’re out of picture taking mode into another atmosphere. DEFINITELY NOT user friendly. Very awkward to hold without messing up your mode. And if that were not enough, the pictures really are NOT very good at all. I can’t believe it’s a Nikon. Trust me on this: If you it, don’t throw away the packaging or the receipt. Go Obama!

i have owned several nikon point and shoot cameras and none can compare with the cannon line.
the nikon batteries last longer than the cannon they have the battery tech. advancement, but the picture quality there is no comparison. cannon wins hands down. for some reason the nikon photos come out a little fuzzy no matter what yo do they are just not up to the standard of any cannon point and shoot. one out of 3 or 4 pics will come out ok, the others wont be acceptable. (i used both cameras on my trip to tn. to visit my daughter and granddaughter and over a third of the nikon photos had to be discarded. almost all of the cannons were great. the few i had to discard were my error not the cameras), the cannon power-shot is outstanding i have the 950is and have never taken a bad picture. the coolpix line just cannot stand up to the quality i have the s10 and s70 both are inferior to the cannon. for more info go to he is a nikon pro but prefers the cannon point and shoot . my dad is 85 and he just loves his cannon 800is and has no problem using it and the photos are superb. hope this was helpful
